2000 Miles and Back

Each year for our children's spring break we plan a road trip, not unlike those of our days.  We fly to a new state, rent a car and for the past 4 years, have driven at least 2000 miles per trip.  This year was no different.  Our destination, Phoenix, AZ.  From there we tracked across the beautiful painted dessert, grand canyon, redrocks and made our way to New Mexico.  One hotel per night, traveling in the evening to make the most of our days.  This year we hit over 10 state and national parks between the two states, basked in the sun and a hot spring or two.  Here is a small photo archive of some of our most memorable places.
